About Us

ToolsBasic is a catalogue of small tools for everyday file work. Converting an image to PNG, making a JSON response readable, or generating a strong password should not require installing software, creating an account, or signing up for anything.

What we do

The catalogue holds three kinds of tools. Converters move files between JPG, PNG, WebP, AVIF, GIF, BMP and SVG. Editing tools change an image's dimensions, crop, angle or file size. Text and developer tools handle jobs like formatting JSON, decoding Base64 or generating UUIDs entirely inside the browser.

Where the work happens

The distinction matters: text and code tools run fully client side, so what you type never leaves your device. Image conversion and editing need the file on the server. Those uploads are deleted as soon as the job finishes — never archived, never shared, never used for anything else. The privacy policy covers the detail.

Why it is free

Every tool is free and none of them ask you to register. Running costs are covered by advertising, placed so it does not sit between you and the content. The cookies used by advertising networks are described in our cookie policy.

Limits

The per-file ceiling is 24 MB and a batch queue holds up to 20 files. Some formats depend on what the server's image library supports; where a format is unavailable the tool says so instead of failing silently.
