What Is My IP shows the IP address the server sees you from, along with the browser headers that arrive with your request.
Use it when someone needs to allow-list your address, to check whether a VPN is really in the path, or to confirm a firewall entry.
How to use it

Limits and processing behaviour
What the output contains:
- The IP address as the server sees it.
- Your browser identity (user agent) and preferred language header.
- The forwarded address header (x-forwarded-for) when you arrive through a proxy.
- These values are shown back to you only; they are not tied to an account or used for profiling.
When to choose this tool
For your own address this page is enough. To see where a link actually lands, the Redirect Checker is the better tool.
It performs no geolocation, carrier or reverse DNS lookup — it only reports what the request carried. On mobile and large corporate networks the address you see may be shared by many people behind the same exit.
Practical notes
- Run it twice with the VPN on and off; an unchanged address means traffic is not being routed.
- On IPv6 networks the address is long and colon separated — copy all of it.
- When asking to be allow-listed, check whether your address is static; most home connections rotate.
Where your data is processed
The work happens locally and your data stays on the device. The single outgoing request is the usage counter, and your text is not part of it. Advertising and measurement cookies operate at page level, never inside the tool.
